The e-Commerce craze continues to spread across the world. Many traditional industries have started to explore sales channels for its e-Commerce more actively. In this journal, plenty of successful cases that received the “incentive and subsidy plan for industrial development in Taipei City” may include “Türk Kızları”. Such case puts in a lot of effort in its e-Commerce platform service and product improvement for its content through project implementation. “Türk Kızları” cultivates designers to design cultural and creative products, offers internship opportunities and employability for students from the Department of Turkish, and expects them to become e-Commerce leaders in Turkey. It offers extensive and in-depth content information for the consumers to read. A second case is “Mr. Good”. It connects farmers and fishermen, processing factories, restaurants, cooking studios and consumers to come up with a R&D plan so that it can comply with the feature of quality agriculture and support the production of sustainable agriculture as well as the industrial value chain for manufacturing and marketing. It helps the farmers and fishermen who are less familiar with the production and marketing end to do the processing and packaging work and sell their agricultural products. It sets up an exclusive procedure to handle perishable foods, shortening the route from the place of origin to the dining table. It increases the value of agricultural products for its added value.

While many are interested in starting their own business around the world, Taiwan is also proactively creating a friendly environment for business starters. The central government and respective local governments are introducing various incentives for people starting their own business. Private incubation centers, venture accelerators, shared workspaces, and maker spaces are mushrooming, too. For a new company, however, how to make their innovative brand known by others is important and is something they must accomplish. The author suggests that they may take advantage of the international market, a venture agent, various venture competitions and events and the Go Incubation Board for Startup and Acceleration Firms as four major ways to create a higher-level brand. New companies in Taiwan are able to light up their own brand utilizing various strategies. Therefore, they glow in Taiwan and are in the spotlight on the international stage. What is more important is that they can transform their brand image into value on the capital market in order to gain sufficient fuels that keep the fire of innovation going!

While the world is proactively deploying and promoting an innovative approach to business, the innovative sector featuring FinTech mainly targets software systems and innovative service. The latter will be advantageous niche for Taipei while it tries to reach out to the Asia Pacific market.

For a startup team, it definitely helps boost operating capital, connections and required technology in the industry and the market share by being able to establish presence in an internationally famous accelerator or to taking part in international entrepreneurship competition where they can exchange experiences and share stories with other elites from around the world. The Taipei City Government’s Department of Economic Development has launched” Taipei City Government Start-up Programs for Subsidy entrepreneurial team abroad” to encourage startup teams to broaden their international horizon, strengthen their connections with the world in terms of funding, talent, and technology.Venture teams with potential that are registered in Taipei are sponsored while they try to establish presence in international accelerators, take part in international venture events, or incubation center development plans.

There are various business starting patterns either taking shape or transforming throughout the world as a result of different development conditions such as the financial environment, infrastructure, penetration rate of mobile devices, and attitude of the supervisory authority. ICE Technology applied for the “Taipei Industrial Development Incentive Program” in 2012 and received the subsidies for its “innovative platform that helps with smart decision making in financial transactions”. The platform combines real-time message transmission technology and financial transaction service in one, and assists investors in assessing their investment while deciding on the cost in order to minimize transaction risk. ADTC applied for the “Taipei Industrial Development Incentive Program” in 2015 and its focus was on the subsidies for labor and salaries in order to realize popularity of mobile payments and their advanced application and to provide consumers with more diversified service, spearheading the rapid development and industrial upgrade of mobile payment in Taiwan.

Encouraging youth to start their own business is one of the priorities of the Taipei City Government in its administration for the future. There is one-stop venture service available as part of the venture cluster that the government tries to create to proactively integrate and manage existing spaces pending utilization throughout Taipei and continue integrating central or private incubation centers or shared workspaces while planning a venture exchange platform for business starters. The venue and public equipment at the innovation base are at their disposal. The hope is to build Taipei into a city friendly for young people wishing to start their own business and fulfill their dream. The “StartUP@Taipei” statistics show that there are 26 incubation centers, 32 investment institutes, 29 shared workspaces, and 11 maker spaces available at present at the venture base in Taipei, including Taipei Co-Space, Garage+, Custard Cream, and Changee workspace . The hope is that through each venture space proactively created to help realize dreams business starters can find one another more easily.

Since the game has great influence on the economy, culture and society, the e-Sport industry has gradually become one of the internationally recognized sports competitions as well. Some countries even recognize an e-Sport player to be an athlete, which shows an obvious fact that e-Sport can be a hub to connect with other related industries. The core demand lies in keeping the player’s international competitiveness and remaining steady in professional tournaments. Some suggest that government units should be active and keep on promoting e-Sport related activities in the future. Consequently, this industry can keep its advantage and competitiveness in the trend of digital global entertainment.

The e-Sport industry is more than a “new emerging sport” as recognized by many countries. Most importantly, the business opportunity and chance to develop new technology brought to you by e-Sport are all heading to the next out-breaking growth stage. It has a bright future! In Taiwan, e-Sport has an enormous number of players and groups of audiences. People have already established the e-Sport Alliance and e-Sport Association to participate in international tournaments in Taiwan. Many critical IT industry factories also collaborate with e-Sport serving as a key point for promotion. It is obvious that private business has already stepped out by walking in step as a pioneer. To look into the future, the government can set the tone for the e-Sport industry first by establishing it in a correct position in the government-coaching unit or to formulate e-Sport regulations to encourage the software and hardware industry. It may extend to e-Sport HR development. Or else, it may help the industry to upgrade themselves by taking a competitive position with global advantage!

The rise of e-Sport depends on the cooperation of some pre-requisites including video games and computer technology, network speed and business models. The current e-Sport industry remained as a by-product of some specific commercial game companies. It reveals a power with multiple mountain peaks with a changing business model and the rise and fall of the game market. The Taipei city government shall play an active leadership role to perfect the career planning for got-talent contestants and relevant complementary measures, and encourage manufacturer and business model investors to think mainly about the e-Sport, and to cooperate with other relevant digital cultural and arts industries. It certainly can make Taipei City become one of the capacity core and export centers in the global game industry.
