International Economic Outlook

According to EIU, IMF, OECD and other institutions to observe the economic growth forecast for the world's major economies in 2024: U.S. real GDP will grow by 2.7％, Japan's real GDP will grow by 1.3％, China's real GDP will grow by 4.7％, the real GDP of the euro area will grow by 1.1％.

Taiwan Economic Overview

Key Domestic Economic Indicators in 2024Q1:  The real GDP grew by 6.56％. The value of export orders reached US$133.32 billion, marking a year-on-year decrease of 2.13％. Total exports were valued at US$110.33 billion, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 12.91％. The industrial production index and the manufacturing industry production index increased to 87.54 and 87.21, respectively, indicating a year-on-year increase of 6.01％ and 6.16％.

Taipei Econ Overview

As of the end of March 2024, a total of 240,233 businesses were registered in Taipei City. This represents an increase of 4,335 businesses from the previous year, marking a year-on-year growth of 1.84％. The registered capital of enterprises in Taipei City reached 14.82 trillion, up by 4.50％ over the same period last year. The number of registered factories in Taipei City stood at 919, showing an annual decrease of 5.06％.
